Interview with Eric, Bonnie, Jerome, Big Kim and Josh

JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Eric: There was 4 phones.
Bonnie: No.
Jerome: YES
Big Kim: yes, be sure to wipe down the handset as the guy before you has probably alternated between rubbing his package and switching hands with the phone, I went to the hole again one time for beating one guy over the head with the handset when I caught him doing this with "our phone"..
Josh: yes

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Eric: You have to call collect or you don't call.
Bonnie: Collect charges to the recipient. We could call somewhere each evening when the one phone was not busy.
Jerome: OVERPRICED COLLECT CALLS
Big Kim: collect an high billed to the called party
Josh: $2 for 15 mins

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Eric: See Above!
Bonnie: No. The calls went collect.
Jerome: NO
Big Kim: No
Josh: no

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Eric: Yes! There was another guy in jail that called his wife with a restraining order against him (willingly)and they came in and arrested him in the jail.Explain that one?????
Bonnie: Yes they did.
Jerome: YES
Big Kim: The jail monitors and records all outgoing phonecalls... You'd be surprised at the dumb *sses who give total confessions over the phone, get additional charges and devulge their accomplices and drug stashes the cops "didn't find".....might as well just ask the guards to call a detective to interview you first hand..
Josh: no but they can listen in

How will you know if an inmate from this county jail is calling? I have an inmate that has been calling for the past few months, he's name is Keysean Nelson and I don't know if he's in your county jail or not?

phone cards are purchased at the jail reception by inmates friends and family. no more collect calls. my son is in kitsap county jail has been for nearly 8 months. a month ago mysteriously he can not call home. with money on his calling card account(intelmate) and his books, makes no sense ive called intelmate and they say he calls, yet the phone never rings from the jail anymore. he can call anyone else, just not home. intelmate says there is no block. so this makes no sense to me. anyone have any suggestions? going crazy.

Maybe check to make sure your number isn't blocked. When they call, one of the options is press (#2 I believe) to block calls from the jail/this inmate. Maybe at some point that button was accidentally pressed?
